The CLR2 is the youngest member of the DC-LINK family and has the same typical DwarfConnection design as its two larger siblings, LR2 and ULR1. In addition to its greater range of 300m and its impressively increased performance, it is potentially the most stable wireless video transmission system in its price range.

 

As well as high-quality aluminium housing, the CLR2 offers a frequency scanner available via the HDMI output. Combined with the standard manual frequency selection, this feature permits active frequency management and therefore ensures a successful and stable transmission. Like all non-DFS systems in the DC-LINK family, it is compatible with all predecessor systems as well as with all other, larger systems and can be expanded with an unlimited number of other DwarfConnection receivers.

 

DwarfConnection's total commitment to quality has also prompted the company to equip the CLR2 with a fan. The fans can be turned on or off in the so-called cinema mode via the Record and Stop buttons on the camera. Metadata such as timecode is also transmitted to all outputs.

The CLR2 meets the needs of production companies that are looking for the highest quality and flexible expandability of their systems, while also offering beginners the ideal solution for wireless transmission over short and medium distances. Complex pairing processes are unnecessary, due to the proven manual frequency selection. A simple menu navigation and a high-quality OLED display provide the necessary orientation, even in bright surroundings. Despite the CLR2's small size, HDMI and SDI connectors are available on both transmitters and receivers. The receiver can supply up to three devices via 2 SDI connections and one HDMI connection.

 

 

In the interests of size, the CLR2 does not have battery plates as standard. Both the transmitter and the receiver can be powered using the supplied D-Tap cables and power supplies. Attaching the optional NPF battery plate (available separately) is a simple procedure. The input voltage range of 9-18V ensures the greatest possible flexibility at the smallest possible size.
